The 2022 Major League Soccer season has come to an end and with it some major Independence Blue Cross Achievement Unlocked moments.
The Boys in Blue racked up 72 DOOPs in 2022, thrashing the previous mark of 58 set in 2019. Daniel Gazdag led the way with a club record 22 goals while Julian Carranza and Mikael Uhre added double digit goals to mark the first time in club history that the Union had three goalscorers with 10+ goals. Overall the Boys in Blue had 12 different players score in the regular season.
The 72 goals is the fifth most goals in MLS history, matching the 2012 San Jose Earthquakes.
