The Union opened their 2023 preseason schedule with a 3-2 comeback victory against Austin FC on Saturday afternoon. After falling behind in the first half, the Union equalized just before the halftime whistle as Alejandro Bedoya headed in a free-kick piece from Kai Wagner. In the second half the Union saw goals from Jesus Bueno and the match-winning from Chris Donovan to get their first taste of victory in the new year.
