The Philadelphia Union, in collaboration with Andre Blake, has organized a Hurricane Relief Drive to support families in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa. Upon collection, the club will send essential items to help those impacted rebuild, recover, and stay healthy in the aftermath of the storm.
Donations will be accepted at three Union Playoff Watch Parties, taking place Brauhaus Schmitz on South Street, Chickie's & Pete's in Drexel Hill, or P.J. Whelihan's in Downingtown during the team's second match of their best-of-three first round playoffs series against Chicago Fire on Saturday, November 1st. For more information, please learn more via the U-Serve link found here.
Blake, a three-time Major League Soccer goalkeeper of the year and a respected captain of both the Philadelphia Union and the Jamaican National Team, is from May Pen, Jamaica. He grew up there before playing college soccer at University of Connecticut, then professionally for Philly.
