Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has loaned midfielder Joaquín Torres to Universidad Católica through 2024, with an option to purchase.
Torres signed with the Union in 2023 from CF Montreal, making his debut in a 4-1 victory over Columbus Crew on February 25, 2023. In total, Torres appeared 13 times for the Union, scoring one goal and adding an assist in that time.
Prior to joining CF Montreal, he was loaned out to Greek Super League side Volos in 2019, scoring four goals in 24 appearances. Torres made his MLS debut with CF Montreal on May 8, 2021 against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
