After leading a second-half comeback in front of the Union faithful, Philadelphia Union's Tai Baribo and Nathan Harriel have earned MLS Team of the Matchday honors, the league announced Friday.
Harriel, the team's 24-year-old Homegrown, scored Philadelphia Union's first of the night, redirecting a header from Jakob Glesnes with his foot to get one back for his team early in the second half.
The young defender has been asked to step into multiple different roles this season, including his natural outside back position, centerback, and even midfielder, and against LA Galaxy, he added goal scorer to his 2025 resume.
After Harriel spurred the comeback, all eyes shifted toward Tai Baribo, who bagged a second half brace to secure the 3-2 win for the Union.
With his pair of goals, his season total boosted to 10, putting him back in the leading spot in the MLS Golden Boot race.
"It feels amazing that I scored two goals and we won, but the league is long, and when you see one time I was in the second position, now I'm in the first position, I just want to be there in the end of the season," Baribo said.
