 - At Talen Energy Stadium, the Union are 13-3 Open Cup matches.
 - Philadelphia set a new franchise record for largest margin of victory with a 5-0 win over Richmond Kickers last week to advance to the Round of 16.
 - In the victory, five different Union players found the back of the net.
 - Under Head Coach Jim Curtin the Union own an all-time record of 12-4 in Open Cup competition.
 - Under Coach Curtin, Philadelphia owns an Open Cup record of 10-2 at Talen Energy Stadium.

 - This will be the fifth time Philadelphia and New York Red Bulls have met in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

 - Red Bulls have played at Talen Energy Stadium just once in the four Open Cup meetings.
 - The last Open Cup match at Talen Energy Stadium against Red Bull, saw the Union advance to the Quarterfinals with a 2-1 win thanks to a Chris Pontius brace.
