Philadelphia Union announced today that Tai Baribo has been called up by Israel ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window.
The forward is part of eight members of the Union to be selected this window with Baribo joining Danley Jean Jacques (Haiti), Cavan Sullivan (U.S. U-17), Frankie Westfield (U.S. U-20), Neil Pierre (U.S. U-19 ID Camp) and the trio of Eddy Davis III, Sal Olivas and Andrew Rick who were selected for the U.S. U-20 ID Camp.
After leading the club with 16 goals and third in the league overall, Baribo joins the Israeli National Team for a pair of World Cup Qualification matches. Baribo has 19 international caps, in which he has scored three goals. Israel will play matches against Moldova (Sept. 5, 2:45 PM) and Italy (Sept. 8, 2:45 p.m.).
