Philadelphia Union, in collaboration with Major League Soccer, today announced its schedule for the 2027 MLS Sprint Season, a 14-match regular season that will mark the league’s transition to a summer-to-spring calendar.
The Union will open the Sprint Season at home on Saturday, February 20, against Chicago Fire FC at Subaru Park (1:00 p.m. ET). Each MLS club will face its 14 conference opponents once during the regular season, with seven matches at home and seven on the road.
Other notable home matchups include Red Bull New York on Wednesday, April 21 (7:00 p.m. ET), and reigning Supporters’ Shield winners Nashville SC on Saturday, May 1 (7:00 p.m. ET).
Philadelphia will conclude its regular season campaign on Decision Day, Saturday, May 8, against Atlanta United FC (5:00 p.m. ET). Following the regular season, the top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs. The postseason will feature single-elimination brackets in each conference, with the Eastern and Western Conference champions meeting in MLS Cup presented by Audi on Memorial Day weekend in May. The complete postseason schedule will be announced at a later date.
In addition to crowning an MLS Cup champion, the 2027 MLS Sprint Season will determine qualification for the 2028 Concacaf Champions Cup and 2028 Leagues Cup.
