CHESTER, Pa. (March 12, 2019) – Bethlehem Steel FC hosts North Carolina FC this Saturday, March 16 at Talen Energy Stadium in the club’s 2019 home opener. Steel FC comes into Talen in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, following a 2-0 shutout win over the weekend at Birmingham Legion FC.

The club’s 2019 home opener is going to be a wild one with North Carolina FC expected to turn heads this year and it will be Steel FC’s first-ever regular season match in Talen Energy Stadium. Don’t miss the first-ever Union-Steel double-header on April 20 either, with Philadelphia Union hosting the Montreal Impact at 1:00 p.m. ET and the Steel welcoming Indy Eleven at 4:00 p.m.

Talen Energy Stadium will also host the stadium’s earliest-ever weekday-kickoff when Steel FC hosts Hartford Athletic on Tuesday, July 30, with the match scheduled to take place at 12:30 p.m.

Be on the lookout for the four 2019-expansion clubs in total who have joined us in the Eastern Conference, including Birmingham Legion FC, Hartford Athletic, Loudoun United FC and Memphis 901 FC. The club will host Memphis 901 FC at Talen Energy Stadium on Sunday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m. ET for the inaugural meeting between the two clubs. Steel FC will also welcome Birmingham on Sunday, August 25 at 6:00 p.m. and Legion FC will clearly be looking for revenge after Steel FC spoiled their inaugural match with a shutout.

Steel are going to host a total of six home matches across May and June. The club will welcome Atlanta United FC 2 (May 12 | 7:30 p.m. ET), Ottawa Fury FC (May 19 | 6:00 p.m.) and Louisville City FC (May 26 | 2:00 p.m.) at Talen Energy Stadium, before a short road trip to wrap up the month of May.

June opens with fans getting their first look at 2020 MLS side Nashville SC on Sunday, June 9 at 6 p.m. ET. Steel FC’s home slate continues with a matchup against potential MLS hopeful and former Western Conference side Saint Louis FC on June 15 at 7:30 p.m., then the month concludes with Steel FC hosting former Union goalkeeper John McCarthy and the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday, June 22, at 7:30 p.m.
