Philadelphia Union II fell 1-0 to New England Revolution II on Wednesday night at Kinetic Field at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex.

Union II battled through a scoreless first half despite going down to 10 men in the 31st minute. Goalkeeper Pierce Holbrook kept the match level with a key save in the 18th minute, denying New England midfielder Cristiano Oliveira.

Philadelphia continued to create chances, including a blocked shot from Kellan LeBlanc in the 36th minute and a Rafael Uzcátegui header that went just over the crossbar in the 43rd.

Union II remained dangerous in the second half while New England increased pressure. Union Academy amateur Abdoulaye Diop made his MLS NEXT Pro debut in the 70th minute, and Holbrook added several more saves, including stops on Oliveira and Carlos Zambrano. New England broke through in the 86th minute to secure all three points.

Philadelphia Union II returns to action on Sunday, May 17, against Columbus Crew 2 at Kinetic Field at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on OneFootball.
