With Bethlehem Steel FC at the midway point of their June slate, it’s time to take a look at how the club’s trio participating in Player For Pride have done so far. Veteran James Chambers along with rookies Zach Zandi and Ben Ofeimu are all playing for more than the club this month, raising money for the cause that benefits Athlete Ally.  Let’s check in on how they’re doing.

Midfielder Zach Zandi matched the captain’s donation pledges and has been making his presence known on the field. The West Chester, Pa. native earned himself an extra chance to donate with his appearance for Philadelphia Union in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. With that extra donation, he up to three appearances in June and provided two assists for a total of $35.

Ben Ofeimu donation is five dollars for every appearance, clean sheet and match won. In addition he pledged $10 for every goal or assist he notched during the month as well. While Ofeimu has yet to find the back of the net, he has made two appearances for Steel FC and with the club’s win against Saint Louis FC, he’s up to $15 for Athlete Ally.
