The 2026 FIFA World Cup is just beginning, but just like that, the Philadelphia Union’s brief break has come to an end and the Boys in Blue are back together in Chester.
After a three-week pause from team activities, training officially resumed on Monday, June 15th with a session led by interim Head Coach Ryan Richter on the pitches at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex.
The team returns to Major League Soccer play in the week following the World Cup Final, which is set to take place in New Jersey on July 19th.
Three days after a World Champion lifts the trophy, Philadelphia Union will welcome fans back into Subaru Park for a rivalry match against Red Bull New York on July 22nd -- the first of six straight home matches on the riverfront, including Leagues Cup.
